Goody Foody Gardens is an innovative small business which connects people who want to grow their own vegetables at home, with everything they need to get started, including expert advice from a Goody Foody Gardener.

We are seeking an experienced veg grower/ horticulturist who really knows their onions, to help our customers learn how to grow their own at home. Your growing advice will ensure that their raised bed vegetable patch will thrive and help them grow in knowledge and confidence.

Training on how to install the beds the Goody Foody way, and staff clothing will be provided. The role will start 2nd May 2022.

The Role

The hours are seasonal, and we work mostly at weekends and after school hours. We work during peak growing seasons from May to October. You will be required to,

  • Install and plant the Goody Foody Garden veg beds
  • Provide helpful, family friendly growing advice
  • Input into our annual Growing Calendar
  • Answer customers questions on WhatsApp
  • Updating the booking system
  • Input into social media and blog posts
  • Manage the care of stock

The Person

The right person will be a passionate vegetable grower who wants to tell the world about the benefits of growing veg. Growing will be a lifestyle and you will have demonstrable experience either in education, allotment associations or similar gardening projects.

You will be highly organised and able to produce clear and compelling instructions. A great people person, you will be motivated by enthusing others. A confident and effective leader who can manage and nurture others while confidently allocate tasks and deliver training.

Our customers live in a wide geographical area – from Ayrshire to Dunbartonshire, so a car is a must.

Remuneration

The remuneration for this role is £12.50 per hour
